Dr. Marcia Scott

Dr. Marcia Scott graduated from the Calgary College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in 2010. She took her internship at the China-Japan friendship Centre hospital, Beijing. Marcia has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2003.

Marcia had various health issues as a child and grew up curious about body systems and physiology.  Her profound desire to enhance others to live fuller, healthier lives lead her to a career in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Proven acupuncture and massage methods combined with Chinese herbs and alternative treatments are used collaboratively to optimize diagnosis and treatment have been instrumental in successfully allowing Marcia’s patients to experience less pain, feel better and improve their quality of life. TCM is used to treat a wide spectrum of conditions including preventative medicine to achieve optimal health and wellness with good therapeutic effects, tangible results and minimal side effects.

Marcia’s professional, passionate and dedicated approach to her patient care have been key to her success and exemplary client rapport is evident in long term professional relationships.

Dr. Janine Schuler

Growing up in family who always reached for herbs, teas and natural remedies first, Janine’s interest in alternative medicine began at a young age. Knowing balance in everything, which the Chinese teach as chi, is key, and she developed an interest in Chinese medicine and acupuncture. In 2007 Janine enrolled at the Calgary College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture (CCTCMA). After completing four years and a practicum in China, she graduated with the honor and title of Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (DTCM).

Janine’s experience is extensive and continuing her education in speciality areas has remained a passion of hers. It started with her practicum at the prestigious China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing, China and has continued with numerous special courses in:

  • Facial and cosmetic acupuncture

  • Scalp acupuncture

  • Classical yuan qi acupuncture,

  • Deep tissue therapy

  • Chi Nei Tsang Abdominal Massage

  • Nutrition for health promotion and disease prevention

  • Holistic nutrition for musculoskeletal conditions

Janine works to educate and bring Chinese medicine and acupuncture to more people in our province by remaining active in the community. She has served the last four years on the board of the Alberta Association of TCMD's, with the main goal of getting Chinese medicine regulated in Alberta and also hosting monthly educational seminars for its members.

Janine maintains balance in her life by getting out to the mountains at least once a week, training for marathons, volunteering with meals on wheels, other favourites include running and hitting up yoga.
